If I may psychoanalyze here for a minute, I would say your mind is worried about dangers or mere unknowns that you might consider a threat to your home and/or family.
The fact that your mind chose a tornado might be due to the fact that there have been so many mentions of hurricanes in the media lately. Tornadoes are feared because of the damage they could bring, damage mostly done to our homes. When we see one in the distance, we fear that its path will bring devastation to our door step. There is nothing we can do to stop it or change its path, so we feel powerless and not in control.
It would also be helpful to try to understand what made you choose this photo from among others and how did you come about finding the source in the first place. Your subconscious mind was guiding you then as well.
